CHAPTER 407-E GRANITE STATE HOME MITIGATION AND RESILIENCY PROGRAM
Section 407-E:10
407-E:10 Contractor Eligibility, Hiring, and Duties. –
I. The contractor shall demonstrate IBHS certified contractor status for RSA 407-E:7, II, IBHS grants.
II. The department shall not endorse or otherwise provide preferential treatment to any contractor. Contractors are not employees or in any way agents of the state.
III. The contractor shall meet all applicable requirements of this chapter, including, but not limited to, those listed in this paragraph, and maintain a current copy of all applicable certificates, licenses, and proof of insurance coverages for inspection by the department at the department's request:
(a) The contractor shall be registered to do business with the New Hampshire secretary of state.
(b) The contractor shall hold all local or state licenses.
(c) The contractor shall possess an in-force, general liability insurance against all claims of bodily injury, death, or property damage, in amounts not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate for bodily injury or death in any one incident, and $500,000 for property damage in any one incident.
(d) The contractor shall have workers' compensation and employer's liability insurance consistent with state law.
(e) The contractor shall provide and maintain accurate contact information with the department.
(f) The contractor shall not have a financial interest in any project funded by the granite state home mitigation and resiliency program for which they perform work other than receiving payment on behalf of the homeowner from the granite state home mitigation and resiliency program.
(g) The contractor shall not be the evaluator for any project funded by the granite state home mitigation and resiliency program.
IV. The contractor shall establish that any subcontractor used by the contractor meets the requirements applicable to contractors set forth in paragraph III.
